Why Has the U.S. Government Outlawed Industrial Hemp?

Here we are, in a world overwhelmed by environmental and social problems. It seems that there are more problems than solutions! However, when it comes to the environment, the need for fuel, nutrition, and an alternative to chemical laden cotton the solution is right in front of us. That solution is HEMP.

Hemp is a cousin of marijuana. Hemp contains less than 1% THC making it IMPOSSIBLE to get "high" from the plant. Hemp, for thousands of years, has been used for medicine, food, textiles, and many other products. As a matter of fact, more than 30,000 products can be produced from hemp, everything from bio-fuels, to nutritional products, to building materials.

The question is, why has the government of the United States outlawed hemp? You can't get high from it, so why? You can't grow it with with marijuana. So what is the big deal? The big deal is big money. The big deal is big oil, big forestry, big cotton and big chemical companies. It's time to expose all the lies told about hemp. It's time to get educated! It's time to tell the world about this amazing plant and the millions of dollars that it could pump into our troubled economy.

Ford Had a Better Idea...Then They Killed It!

Way back...well, not that far back...in 1941 the Ford Motor Company produced an automobile with a plastic body composed of 70% cellulose fibers from hemp. It was Henry Ford's dream to produce a car that was grown from the soil! The car could absorb blows 10 times that of steel without denting!!!!! The car was also designed to run on hemp fuel. An organic car?

But guess what? Our dear government, being paid off by big business, made growing hemp illegal. Could you imagine a car that won't dent and would run on fuel produced from hemp? Who would want hemp to be criminalized? Tree growers, cotton farmers, oil companies, and many more who would stand to lose from a crop that could out-perform any of the aforementioned.

I am for the legalization of Industrial Hemp. I hope through what I post here, you will be too.
